By a serendipitous coincidence, I can show you both the 1974 Waddington's AND the 1977 Letraset version of this Panorama — so you can play "spot the difference".
I am pleased to report that 'Shopping Scene' is indeed a fairly straightforward reissue of the 1974 Waddington's version, as expected. Naturally there are a couple of minor changes to the cover: the "Waddington's House of Games" logo has been replaced by a large blank circle, & the back panels now feature games.
In a nod to tradition, Bruno Tilley continues to appear, holding up backgrounds which I'm sure he never saw before they appeared here! From the first three-foot Panoramas to the last. (I should probably ask him about that, for accuracy's sake…)
UPDATE — Bruno says: "I never saw this before — who should I invoice?"
The background is the same for both Panoramas.
The 1977 transfer sheet is now litho, not gravure, & so it had to be re-done. The replacement artwork figures are essentially the same, albeit reorganised slightly, but the finish has been simplified.
And we have a serial number: L56/4!
The 'Back' link at the bottom of this page takes you to the main 1974 page, but before that here are the six Panoramas in this series.
