Nabisco Honeys Yellow Submarine Rub-Ons

Our ever-reliable friend, & leading expert on PEZ, eBay Seller pezdudewelch, has provided the source images for this view of the two cereal packets to feature this Nabisco promotion: one packet for Wheat Honeys, & the other for Rice Honeys.

These vintage cereal packets have been known to sell for thousands of dollars, so you may well be surprised to hear that I myself have had a successful foray into the perils of obtaining one. Here are my winnings:

Impressive, are they not? And remarkably inexpensive. I just couldn't resist it…

The side of the packet (again, courtesy of pezdudewelch) reveals the details of the promotion:

Inside the packet, all being well, you could expect to find one of these envelopes (front & back shown):

And then, once you've opened the envelope (as I was obliged to do in order to reveal the contents on your behalf), you would find a folded sheet — unfolded here, with both sides scanned:

You'll notice the crucial information:

® "Trademark Rub-Ons" is used under license from Hasbro Industries, Inc.

It's a filthy habit, which I've tried to give up, but before I reformed I had managed to acquire four of the eight sheets (& one double). But at least that means I can show them to you:

Although I don't have proper scans of the missing sheets, others have kindly provided photos of them to give us the idea.

Finally, here's a warning as to what can happen when it all goes wrong:
